Global Change Management Specialist
The Opportunity
As a member of the newly formed Global IT Mergers & Acquisitions Project Management Office, the Global Change Management Specialist will play a critical role in building, supporting, and executing change management strategies to support global and region-specific WSP acquisitions. This role reports to the Global IT Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, partners closely with the Organizational Change Management Lead in Global IT M&A PMO and works with colleagues around the globe. The job is full-time and your working hours will vary as you work globally. We have a hybrid working time model in place. Your office is conveniently located in Tripla (Pasila) in Helsinki.
The Role
- Work closely with the Organizational Change Management Lead in Global IT M&A PMO to provide organizational change management support for the technology integration of colleagues after an acquisition.
- Support change management programs/plans for the technology integration by creating, executing, tracking, and reporting the success of:
- Stakeholder assessments
- Change impact assessments
- Current and future-state process mapping
- Change management and communications plans
- Key messages
- Communications
- Training
- Surveys
- Post-implementation support and reinforcement of changes
- Lessons learned after each technology integration
- Support the building and continuous improvement of the organization change management approach, plans, and tactics using during a technology integration
A Day In The Life
- Lead through influence rather than direct control
- Execute on change management plans with a ‘roll-up-your-sleeves approach’
- Strong understanding of leading change management approaches and strategies for mitigating resistance along the change journey
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Apply critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills to understand and address complex and region-specific organization challenges
- Identify and assess the unique challenges and risks of each acquisition, the technology integration journey, and the needs of key stakeholders (for us, these are the acquired employees that accompany each acquisition)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in global and regional teams to develop and execute change management tactics (assessments, process mapping, plans, communications, training, surveys, reporting, and lessons learned) that support the full engagement and adoption of acquired colleagues throughout the technology integration
What You’ll Bring to WSP
- Post-secondary education in business, human resources, or a related discipline
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in large-scale projects or global initiatives (bonus points for mergers and acquisitions experience)
- Fluent English language skills. Knowledge of French will be an advantage.
- Prosci change management practitioner (CMP) certification
- Strong communication skills (plain language experience preferred)
- Strong ability to create clear and digestible PowerPoint decks
- Effectively manage multiple technology integrations at the same time
